We meet the Mayor of Milton Keynes
On the 14th January Councillor Marie Bradburn, the Mayor of Milton Keynes, was interviewed on air by our Chairman Phil Yates and volunteer Mal Burden.
The Mayor is a great supporter of the youth of Milton Keynes. She supports Sieve MK, Bikeability and sustainable transport and discussed her new awards scheme.

Happy 40th Birthday
MKHR recently celebrated the 40th anniversay of the first programmes being broadcast on the station. The first show went out on 18th December 1984 and we have been on air ever since.
We have produced a short video which showcases our history and what we do.

HBA National Awards
Congratulations to Sarah-Jayne Collins, presenter of our Sunday morning 'Breakfast on Broadway' show, who has been shortlisted for the Best Speech Package Award in this years Hospital Broadcast Association Awards.
This is for her 'Pantopandemonium' show in which she previewed the MK Theatre pantomime from 2023, including interviews with Brian Conley and the other stars.
The announcemnt of the Bronze, Silver and Gold winners in this category will be announced at the HBA Awards Dinner in April.
