MKHR aboard the Santa Express
17th December 2016
On the afternoon of 17th December 2016, MKHR broadcast a live programme from our 'pop up' studio located at Pages Park station on the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway.
The railway was running its famous 'Santa Express' trains with families combining a ride on the historic steam trains with a visit to Santas Grotto to see the Big Man himself.
The 3 hour programme combined Christmas music with interviews with the staff, who told us about the history of the railway, the trains and some of the projects currently being undertaken. The sound effects from the engines added to the event. We also spoke to several visitors about their visits and admired their presents from Santa.
MKHR would like to thank everyone at the LBNGR for allowing us to stage the event, and for all their help in setting it up.
